
The 2014 World Motocross Championship and started rolling last weekend at the Losail circuit in Qatar where Jose Antonio Butron was very close to getting his first podium of the season.

Sunday Butron got two outputs which helped her win the Holeshot award in Qatar, award that this year delivers 5000 euros that best outings have done throughout the season. Definitely a strong candidate José win in MX2.
In the first race, José was able to be placed in first position in the first meters but was Max Anstie he led the early laps. As the laps went by José started a fight with Ferrandis and Coldenhoff for second place in the race. In the absence of 5 laps Anstie had to leave due to mechanical problems, and that's when his three persecutors began the battle to take the first race of the season. Finally took the Kawasaki while Butron had to settle for fourth place.
In the second race for after another good start José most of the race was maintained in top positions. On lap six when running in third position José began the attack to pass to Covington, that at that time was second but an error of Butron took him to the ground causing lost a valuable position in the end cost him the podium.

Nevertheless the final fifth position improves the start of last season and the most important thing after this first appointment José has been shown that is still capable of be in the top positions and this year without a doubt will be talking in World Motocross Championship.
Jose Antonio Butron: "This has been my first official contact with the bike and I think the balance of the weekend is positive. The training are shorter this year and for that reason have taken longer to tune up the bike. I was able to make two good starts but in the end I have to settle for fifth place overall. Now we go to Thailand where I hope to improve this result. "
